The Best May be Yet to Come!

As we rapidly approach the end of 2009, we have not yet reached the end of this year’s Science Fiction blockbuster hits! One greatly anticipated film awaits release this year is Avatar.

Avatar has a much different tone than that of 2012, in the sense that its main characters aren’t thrown into situations that are out of their control, but rather that they are forced to choose their paths and pick their battles.

“Avatar takes us to a spectacular world beyond imagination, where a reluctant her embarks on an epic adventure, ultimately fighting to save the alien world he has learned to call home. We enter the alien world through the eyes of Jake Sully, a former Marine confined to a wheelchair. But despite his broken body, he is still a warrior at heart. He is recruited to travel light years away to the human outpost on Pandora… Because the atmosphere of Pandora is toxic, they have created the Avatar Program, in which human 'drivers' have their consciousness linked to an avatar, a remotely-controlled biological body that can survive in the lethal air. Jake is soon taken in by the Na’vi clan, the race that was combined with human DNA to create the avatars, and learns to respect the Na’vi way and finally takes his place among them. Soon he will face the ultimate test as he leafs them in an epic battle that will decide nothing less than the fate of an entire world.”

Avatar’s cast list isn’t quite as impressive, but if nothing more, you should see this movie in the theaters for the state-of-the-art and equally impressive graphics.

The film stars Sam Watson, Zoe Saldanas, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang and Michelle Rodriguez.
