Orpheus- Musical Artists and Bands

About me: I am a composer, multi-instrumentalist and producer with a wide range of talents, a diverse taste, a fantastic work ethic and massive ambition. I am comfortable in either a professional brick and mortar studio or my own home studio.

I am a member of several bands/projects based in the SF Bay Area. I also have high ambitions for scoring movies and games. Doing various forms of film score is one of my primary life goals.

I’m interested primarily in the genre’s of sci-fi and horror, though opened to scoring anything. I can and will do whatever is most appropriate for a project weather that means a classical piano score, a score based on traditional rock and roll, ambient electronics based score, or a score comprised of clanging found percussion and electronic glitches effects.

The primary musical projects I’m involved in are Image And Nation and The Overdrive Corporation.

The Overdrive Corporation, or OCP (yes, like the company from Robocop) is my “cyberpunk” band. By “cyberpunk” we mean that we combine electronics with real instruments such as guitar, bass and drums to utilize the best of each. Our sound is a blend of punk, dance, industrial, metal, funk, goth, pop and rock, with other random genres thrown in here and there.

Image And Nation is a more cinematic, ambient, and conceptual based project. Though it is collaborative it isn’t so much as a band as it is a musical art project. I am the sole instrumentalist and composer of all music as well as 90% of the lyrics. We use a wide variety of styles to create a unique sound. Our sound includes neoclassical/electronica/ambient electronics, tribal/new age/electronica percussion, opera/classical female vocals and contemporary male vocals, with western film score style guitar mixed in here and there with some songs. Songs range from ambient droning keyboards to upbeat mid-tempo neoclassical and celtic songs with tribal rhythms.

Finally, I am not someone you could describe as a “flaky musician”. I have a pro attitude and relentless work ethic. If I agree to a project, paid or unpaid, it WILL get done.
