Matt “Melodious” Coe was raised in a home of whistlers, pianists, guitarists, flutists, song writers, and all around very creative family members. Originally from Seattle, and active in the music scene there since 1989, he was never really into grunge, but played in funk, blues, rock, hip hop, jazz, jam and fusion bands instead. After attaining his composition degree from Cornish College of the Arts in 2001, he made the move to Los Angeles, and has had met some amazing individuals, taught and played all over LA, and opened his own studio. Being a multi-instrumentalist, Matt has an organic approach to composition and songwriting and can mix and blend styles at ease.
Currently, Matt is working as a composer, songwriter, producer and sound designer for video games, television, film, commercials, new media and bands. - I derive my inspiration from all of the experiences I enjoy in life. Some of them are: Anything Joss Whedon, JJ Abrams, Issac Asimov, George Martin (lots of other names could go here) and my friends and family create!!
