About me

Musically, DJ Wolf-D started out doing his thing in 7th grade learning to play trumpet, and eventually moving on to french horn, baritone and piano. He got his first DJ mixer (the classic Radio Shack “Realistic” joint without the cross fader) in January of 1985 and that’s when his life as a DJ began. 1989 was the year he really started to develop himself as a music producer, and over the course of the next few years, he would perfect his craft as both a DJ and a music producer/remixer. In 1994 he landed his first commercial radio gig at WNOV as both an Air-Personality and Mix-Show DJ in his home town of Milwaukee, WI. After 2 years at WNOV, he was asked to join the staff of WKKV (Clear Channel / Milwaukee) taking on the duties of Air-Personality & Mix-Show DJ over the years he'd spend at the station. He would also land his very first major label music production projects which included remixes for gold and platinum artists such as Aaliyah, Do or Die & Twista. As time went on, his discography would also include projects for acts like Epic Records teen sensations B2K, as well as television networks and film companies like E! Entertainment, Fox Sports and SunWoo Entertainment. From 2001 to 2003, Wolf-D moved to the west coast after accepting the position of Associate Mix-Show Editor at HITS Magazine in Los Angeles, California. 2003 brought on another very special opportunity in his career. Wolf-D became the official tour DJ for platinum selling, Grammy nominated hip-hop legend Kool Mo Dee (Wild Wild West, How Ya Like Me Now, I Go To Work, etc). After rejoining WKKV (Clear Channel / Milwaukee) in 2005, and maintaining the # 1 rated night time radio slot in Southeastern Wisconsin as Air-Personality, Mix-Show DJ & Production Director, Wolf-D decided to leave radio in August of 2009 to aggressively pursue his career as a DJ and music producer/remixer on much more of a full-time basis. Here in 2011 Wolf-D just finished the 2011 Salt-N-Pepa Legends of Hip-Hop Tour with Kool Mo Dee. In October of 2011, Jive Records released the Wolf-D Remix of the 3rd single from R&B single Miguel entitled "Quickie", which features Grammy nominated rap artist Twista.
