Favourite Actors?
Well, I don't see a discussion about this so I thought I would start one asking a really obvious question: who is your favourite actor/s? Did their work somehow influence you into persuing acting? Why/why not?
I don't have a single favourite actor, but someone who did really influence me into wanting to become a working actor is David Tennant. I think the thing that really stood out for me was how much he really loves his job and that really shines through in his performances - especially as The Doctor! The fact that he wanted that role since he was three years old is so inspirational for me because it proves that you can make your dreams come true, however unlikely, if you really persevere. :)

My favorite actor is Chris Pine. He inspired me to want to become an actress because he went into acting to make friends and thats what I want to do to, but thats only part of it. the other part is i have been very interested in it since I was 13 taking a performance arts class in middle school and then seeing the play The phantom of the Opera which was my first broadway play and I got to sit right in the front row. it was awesome!

This ones obvious. William Shatner of course. I'm tellin you dude was spot on in TOS. That must have been a bitchen ride acting through those. The three year trip was like an acting class on steroids/acid they explored every level of humiliation to joy. It was awesome.

Colin Baker of Doctor Who is by far my favorite actor and Doctor. Though his time on the show was short lived he still loves the time he did spend on it. I met him in person and the best advice he gave was to work hard for your dreams and rely on a little luck. Since he had been in a previous episode of Doctor Who as another character he never thought he would get to be the Doctor. That gives me hope that I may one day be on Doctor Who.

There are so many, but I really enjoy Lauren Bacall, Shirley Temple, Milla Jovovich, Cate Blanchett, Michelle Pfeifer, Gabrielle Anwar, Madeline Kahn, William Shatner (of course), Elizabeth Taylor, Jeff Goldblum, Gina Davis, Clint Eastwood, Gene Wilder, Anthony Hopkins, Brad Pitt, Tom Hanks, Daryl Hannah, Uma Thurman...the list goes on and on.
Shirley Temple inspired me to act and sing and dance when I was really little, and any good performance inspires me to keep on acting. Love it! Good topic.

Gotta sat the legendary Clint Eastwood. Having a father that could easily be mistaken for Eastwood, growing up with the "Any Which Way..." movies, and of course "Dirty Harry" I found myself fascinated with his career. And even past his "physical" prime, he is still making top notch films, both directing AND acting.

Never seen a movie I didn't like with these two: James Garner, and John Cusack, plus James is Jim Rockford the coolest private detective in the Tv universe ever. $200 a day + expenses.
As for women, great actresses with bodies to match: Michelle Pfeifer and Ashley Judd
