Cross planetary discussions

I understand the reasoning behind being a citizen on only one planet... but for me, it would be beneficial if I could participate in discussions with citizens of other planets. As a Voice Over - I am always looking for great writing - books, scripts, educational information...  I suppose that is what the starships will be for? the captains will be gathering citizens of various planets for projects? But in the meantime, or if we are not selected for one of the elite starships.. it would be nice to be able to gather a group for a project or have an open forum to discuss things. If we are to work/socialize as a community, a way to facilitate cross planetary discussions would be nice. I understand I can 'friend' citizens of other planets and will do so, but I guess I am thinking in the bigger scheme of things. Thoughts?

Hi all, we've been upgrading lots of areas of the site and squashing bugs madly. We are looking into giving users the ability to make their own "mini groups", with discussion areas, gallery options, and the like. It seems to be a popular request, so I will push our investigations higher up on the to-do list. Meanwhile, please feel free to report any horrendous bugs to me! :-) ~ Jen

As others have pointed out, we can join any one or all Planets here. However, what would be cool would be a way to start a discussion on any one Planet, then select which Planets we want the same discussion to go to before hitting the Add Comment button.

Otherwise, we have to duplicate the comment adding on each Planet which we desire to post to.

As a Gemini I cannot be limited to one planet, but chose the one most of my personality applies to. So I joined this planet group for comedy, another for games, and Creatia as a writer which I mostly am.

I was able to join a couple planets as groups, too. I'm sure most of us are hypehnates, or at least like to dabble in other aspects of our craft. Dougie--are you familiar with this: http://www.aipa.com.au
http://www.performingartstours.com.au That might be something you can do--albeit a bit expensive for starving artists. But I know Bonnie Gillespie's a fan and I'm a HUGE fan of hers. :)

I finally figured it out.. My God, I am not usually so dense! I'm more than a little embarrassed to admit the light *just* went on. Now, I can sleep! Except, nothing more I hate than feeling like a dumba**. But in the end, all is well.
