Introductions
In an effort to make this place more lively, let's have some introductions.
Hi. I'm Daniel. I wear a lot of different creative hats, but have probably been most successful as a sound designer and voice-over artist. As there's little money in the latter, I'm trying to focus on the former. I currently have a small VO/ADR/Sound design studio in Burbank, California and hope to upgrade it to be able to do 5.1 mixes if a film I'm supposed to do post sound on this summer ends up happening. (We've all been there, right?)
I also do (limited) animation and comedy writing which I showcase through two YouTube series- The Skeletor Show and Noirn't. You can see them both via my website- http://www.flyingsquidstudios.com

Greetings from Florida!
Deb here. I do a bit of everything on set. I'm also a decent writer and director. I have coordinated 3 indie short films and somehow always end up in the production design department. Someone needs a wardrobe piece or a prop and help decorating the set and making it look lived in--they call me. I'm good at finding bargains.
I'm on IMDb (under my maiden name), Youtube (frasasass) and I have my own sites. I posted my resume at www.junglekingsstudios.com.
I'm supposed to be working on a Vietnam Sky Soldiers film this fall. The director's wife is having a baby in 2 months and that slowed things down a bit. Meanwhile, I'm looking for work in the Daytona area and working on my scripts and business ideas.
Great to see so many people here that work in other areas of production.

Hello. My name is Matthew and I'm attending a University and majoring in Electronic Media aka Film. I have produced/directed/acted/edited an independent film which I'm working on uploading to the internet when my websites are up. I edited a few anime music videos during my high school days as well as several school projects. I'm in pre production for a youtube fantasy series and i'm always working on ideas for new productions. So I'm here to learn and improve my film abilities and to put my name out there.

Hi, I'm Andrew... an 'Art' guy. Been drawing since I was four, leaning toward Spaceships, mostly, and have been a Trekker since Day-1 (Sept. 8, 1966). Studied Industrial Design and then took a run at Hollywood, providing Storyboards, Illustrations, and Concept Art for various Movies & TV shows. That was several years ago and I'm currently living on the east coast. Still, I'm always looking for SciFi projects (with the potential of being funded) that may be looking for a Concept Designer.

I'm Chuck. It doesn't matter is you are a pro or not. What matters is(are)your craft(s) and what you do with them. Never be afraid to learn, even if it's not in your trade. In this business, in this economy, you get work two ways, knowing your job, and knowing everyone else's job. In my nearly forty year career I've gone from live theater to local TV, to commercial spots, to national spots, to TV series, to film, and finally now back to theater. Although I was a licensed pyrotechnician by trade, I worked as a grip, an electrician, a sound boom operator, a carpenter, and even directed Adam West in a sequence for a foreign feature. I always said it took me twenty years to get into this business, it will take me twenty years to get out. Now I'm the theatrical system supervisor for five theater venues and a million sq foot convention center. I retire in two years.
And if you check you'll find that I too am happily playing with animation on YouTube.
Be Well.

Hello all,
This is a bit intimidating since most everyone is pro but I'll go on and say hi. Just call me Cro and I'm a biologist. I've not had any paying gigs in the film industry. What brings me here is that I have a love of SciFi and creating short films. To date I've completed one non scifi short that was an entry for a contest. I have a few ideas lined up next, that are fantasy/scifi/horror related. I have very little money for my projects so I have to do things on the cheap. My associate is a costumer and fx geek so we're going to see what we can do together. She is also a better video editor than I am so I leave that to her as well. All other tasks except acting are mine.
This site seems like the perfect place to get tips and ideas from like minded individuals that can help me bring my ideas to life. Along the way I hope to share what little experience I have learned on how to do things on a super shoestring budget. I have friends in the industry but I really want to have a few products out before I bug them and borrow their precious time.
Look forward to sharing information and seeing how others push their ideas into reality!
