About me
I am a programmer with a background in electronics and aviation. Or I should say I have a long career in electronics and avionics with much of my recent work being in programming. Either way, I am wanting to move forward with the programming and I can't think of a better field to do it in than Sci-Fi/Fantasy. Many people like to use WYSIWYG GUIs to create websites and graphics. While I do use WYSIWYG interfaces, I like the down and dirty of hard coding. I like to be involved in all aspects of a project. I prefer to take an idea, help design the project, code it, test, troubleshoot, and fix it. This is not to say I can't work with others because I do so daily. I'm simply saying that, if necessary, I can be given general guidelines and sit in a dark corner to work on it with minimal direction.

I have been watching and reading sci-fi and fantasy since grade school. I prefer hard Sci-Fi with Isaac Asimov and Peter F. Hamilton being two of my favorite Sci-Fi authors and Terry Brooks being my favorite fantasy writer.

I watch a huge variety of Sci-Fi/Fantasy Movies and TV. Some of my favorite Sci-Fi TV series include Firefly (which should have never been canceled), Star Trek (in order of preference: the Original, Enterprise, STTNG, Deep Space Nine, and Voyager), Dr. Who, Torchwood, Battlestar Galactica, X-Files, Stargate (SG-1, Atlantis, and Universe), Farscape, Babylon 5, Andromeda, and Quantum Leap.
