But seriously- this looks like a cool small-time contest. I'm not part of the group sponsoring it, but I guest-posted on their blog back in April so apparently I'm on the mailing list now. The stories are to be between 5,000-10,000 words and have something to do with time travel. There's a small cash prize, and the rules don't say anything about not being able to collaborate with others on an entry. The submission deadline isn't firm- sometime in late June is the most recent I've heard. It's a pretty free form contest, and I figured I'd throw it out there for you all to check out.

Technology is at the place now where you can make a version of your idea yourself. It's just about figuring out what you've got to work with and committing to get it done.
